  • We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our team in Somerset.

    As a Maintenance Technician you will be working for a small family-run business currently supplying its products throughout the UK, Europe and Australia with an ambition to continue to expand its services and products.

    Location: Chelston Business Park, Wellington, Somerset (Just off Jct 26, M5)
    Hours: Mon – Thur 09:00 – 17:00
    Fri 09:00 – 15:00

    Annual Salary: £19,000-£22,000
     
    Job Overview

    • You will help to maintain our knee scooter rental fleet; full training will be provided.
    • Carrying out quality control inspections for all new stock to a prescribed format.
    • Prepare new and refurbished machines for sale and dispatch.
    • Assist in organising warehouse stock.
    • Check in returned rental stock.
    • Clean and prepare rental machines for dispatch including packing and labelling.
    • Updating maintenance records, entering spares usage and contributing to stock control records.

    Education

    • Ideally the candidate will have English and Maths GSCE 
    • Be computer literate.

    Specific Skills

    • A mechanical background would be ideal but not essential.   If you have experience of repairing and maintaining bicycles it would be useful.

    Personal Characteristics

    • Be able to work in a small team environment.
    • Be proactive with your contributions to the team.
    • Good time keeping. 
    • Have the ability to work unsupervised.
    • Be able to operate under pressure from time to time.
