- In June (2022), in the Gallagher Premiership final in Leicester, George injured his right Achilles and had to undergo surgery. This is a common injury amongst sportspeople. If you have surgery, you will have a period on non-weight bearing to help facilitate recovery.

As we have an ongoing relationship with many sport agents, our Orthomate was recommended to George, and he used our knee walker over his non-weightbearing recovery period.
“After having an operation on my Achilles, one of my concerns was how I was going to stay active in the early stages of recovery. The StrideOn Orthomate knee scooter arrived in no time at all, I soon had my independence back and could keep on the move and involved throughout pre-season. It was a great addition to my recovery matrix and I would recommend to anyone with a similar injury.” George Ford, England Rugby and Sale Sharks
George Ford has now been signed to Sales and, although he is still a number of months away from making his Sale debut, Alex Sanderson has hailed the influence that the England out-half has still managed to wield on the Sharks squad since his arrival.
We wish George all the success and look forward to watching him in the future.
