• Elective Foot surgery is back!

  • With NHS and private non-urgent surgeries re-opening, many of our customers are managing to get their lower leg operation dates confirmed. As we have mentioned in previous blogs, this can be an incredibly stressful time and even more so during the pandemic.

    • As a company, we want to provide support to people when they need it most and offer an alternative to uncomfortable crutches. Our knee walkers are recommended by surgeons to aid the recovery of lower leg surgery including anything from a broken ankle, Achilles tendon rupture, metatarsal fracture, lateral ankle sprain (common with athletes), stress fractures, peroneal tendon injuries, to mention a few.

    • The StrideOn and Orthomate are NHS approved methods that can be used to help recover from surgery quickly and it is proven that they require less energy to use than crutches and walkers but at the same time provide more flexibility and enhance your mental wellbeing by positively contributing to a better and more independent recovery than crutches and walkers provide.

    • You can read our 'Crutches vs Knee Walker' blog here.. You can read more about the science behind the StrideOn here.

    • For those needing long term support, our knee walkers are available to buy new and refurbished. This is ideal for those who may have ongoing lower leg issues or may need both legs operated on over time. For people with a short-term recovery period, we offer a hire service meaning you select the date required with a flexible return option. Currently, we have a great offer of free delivery for hires of three weeks or more.

    • If you would like more information, please visit our shop page, email us or call one of our friendly team on 01823 216202.

    • NOTE:
    • While we are talking about the NHS, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank ALL the key workers during this crisis and appreciate all the hard work they have done to keep us all safe.
