• A Doctors Holiday Recovery with StrideOn

One of our recent customers, Dr Angela Beattie, kindly shared her story after an unexpected injury disrupted her holiday in Pembrokeshire.

    “I fractured my fibula on the second day of our holiday…”

    What was meant to be a peaceful break by the coast quickly took a turn when Dr Beattie suffered a fractured fibula, leaving her unable to weight bear and in need of urgent support.

    “This was very distressing,” Angela told us, “especially as it happened so early in the trip and I wasn’t sure how I would manage the rest of the holiday.”
     

    Turning to StrideOn – Again
    Fortunately, Angela had used a StrideOn Knee Walker in the past to help with joint issues, and remembered the difference it had made.

    “I phoned StrideOn straight away, and was delighted and relieved to hear that this wonderful family-run business was still operating.”


    After speaking with Louise, a member of our customer service team, Angela explained her location and the urgency of her situation. She wasn’t expecting a fast turnaround while staying in a more remote part of the country, but we always do our best.
     
    Delivered to Pembrokeshire — the Very Next Day
    With some careful coordination, our team arranged for a knee walker to be delivered to Stackpole, Pembrokeshire the very next day.

    “I couldn’t believe that was possible,” Angela said. “I thought I’d have to wait until I got home from holiday. But Louise was so helpful and reassuring, what excellent customer service!”
     

    Making a Difference in Difficult Moments
    Once the knee walker arrived, it became an essential part of Dr Beattie’s early recovery.

    “It was a great help in the early days, allowing me to move about with minimal pain,” she explained. “In moments like this, when you’re in pain, worried, and far from home, it really helps to be able to speak to a human. StrideOn was wonderfully understanding, while instilling confidence that everything would be delivered as promised.”
